Una P-P-pizza aubergine

Cheeseless pizza=wayyy better than you think. I made this recipe using the basics from Donna Klein's cookbook, Vegan Italiano (if you don't have this, get it! amazing, not a single recipe that doesn't sound szups delish & all that i've tried have been fairly easy and forgiving of my freaky little changes).


SO! I made the crust, sauce, etc. according to her directions & added a couple xtras: pignoli, red bell pepps and lots o' garlic. Try it, you'll <3 it..

i am beginning this blogstar on ash wednesday, the first day of ze lenten season. why, you might ask? is this not the season of self-denial, fasting, and all things that would impede the most fun food creations...well you are correct. BUT i am offish starting my life of veganism on this very day, its a new law *smack* in the books {compliments of uncle buck}. i've been a ovo/lacto veggirl for a few years now, with several mediocre attempts at veganism. for the next 40 days, i will be dairy-free 4realz and hopefully it will continue to infinity & beyond. all these recipes are either made-up or borrowed & modified...enjoy ^_^
